I certainly do not support the modeling industry, but I thought this picture was awesomely ethereal and , for me, captured the strangeness of humans being on display for others...

I love the expression on this man's face, as well as Obama's. I have always enjoyed Obama's comforting voice and demeanor, and imagine he is good in these situations. I also love that Obama is obviously not under an umbrella and his suit is wet.


This photo feels almost too cliche, but it is so beautiful.

Happy Belated Caturday!

Well, I'd like you to finally meet the new lovelies in my life, known collectively as "The Kittens". My friend Amy heard one of them screaming and crying in the woods outside of her apartment. She brought him inside, cleaned him up, and called me, her animal freak friend, naturally. :)

When I arrived (she met me at the door with the kitten in just the palm of her hand! Tiny!) I told her that it was kind of weird to find just one; we had better look for more. Well, we found three more! We got a brief glimpse of the mama cat, and we are still trying to trap her and at least get her spayed.

The kittens, two black and two Siamese-y, have been with me for about three weeks now. In the beginning, there was a big huddle as they were unsure of what fate had befallen them.

And the occasional timid venture away from the rest. Here is the loud mouth that got them all rescued. :)

Then it was all about the bottle-feeding. Constantly.

Want You Back For Good

I'm back! I swear! The beginning of school plus doctor's appointments plus animal ownership plus animal rescue = one woman with no time or energy to blog. But finally, this Friday night has offered me a chance to breathe and update.

First of all, I simply want to whine about the number of appointments I've had in the past few weeks. No joke:
8/19: Chiropractor
8/20: Bunny to vet
8/21: Sports medicine doc; chiropractor
8/22: Massage (Okay, that was a niiiiiice appointment)
8/24: Psychiatrist; chiropractor
8/25: Orthopedist; Chiropractor; Dentist
8/26: Chiropractor
8/27: Dentist; GP; Chiropractor
8/31: GP; Chiropractor
9/2: Lab; Chiropractor
9/4: GP

And next week already has 5 appointments on deck. Reasons for all of these visits?
-Pain in my hand which turned out to be a nodule in my tendon- possible surgery
-Starting with new, very thorough but very helpful chiropractor
-CONSTANT, CHRONIC nausea- speculated to be: Pregnancy, IBS, and gallstones. So far: none of the above. The search continues next week.

Quick Update

I adopted the bunny!!!! Definitely more on that later.

Last year (3L) of law school starts tomorrow. Mixed feelings.
