Happy Belated Bunday!

Here I went and posted on a Sunday and forgot to wish everyone a Happy Bunday!!

I try to limit my trips to the kitchen/bathroom/bedroom etc. while blogging studying because, yes, it interrupts my concentration, but I am also bound to lose my seat:

"Just writin' your outlines for ya, Mama!" If only.

And then she quickly resumes licking my sweat/scent. What??? It's a sign of bunny love. :)

Hope your Bunday was as, er, love-filled... :)

Happy Belated Caturday!

We are all about action around here...

No, not the pervy kind...

The I WILL EAT YOU! kind
(I LOVE this photo)

And when Big Brudder has had enough...

The saucy little minx goes over and bothers little brudder!

Or maybe he bothers her...?

*FREEZE!* The humans are watching!

Belated Friday Fotos

Man! I still have the best intentions of posting on time, and then weddings, drama, naps...the whole nine yards! :)

Well, anyway, here are my favorites from last week (there are a lot!) (and you can go here to pick yours):

Wow, this picture is amazing. I've always been fascinated by the sun, since I was little. Well, that's mainly because I learned that it would burn up/put one day and that terrified my little worrying self (much like I would cry about trees being cut down before I'd fall asleep at night, and don't get me started on killer whales...), but still...

Who doesn't love this kind of photo?

I'm not overly in love with the photo itself, but the subject matter was just too fascinating to let it pass...

An animal lover through and through, I had to post this photo of a child hugging his dog after the earthquake in China

Wow- the heat distortion makes this photo into a Monet, and the accompanying blurb is quite interesting

Fascinated by this situation- looks like ridiculously hard work!

Favorite Things

Apparently I'm the last to know, but I've finally been introduced to an awesome site for t-shirts and graphics, Threadless. They are most known for their tees, but you can also get designs as art prints. They only do limited printings, but the site is constantly updated. Here are some of my favorite designs so far:

Such a beautiful design and cool illusion

Love, love, love this! Happy Earth Day!

Aw :)

Kinda funny :)

This is neat! And I've always loved the Cheshire cat!

Cute

Love the nature prints

Awesome drama/message

Coveting any of your own threads?

Thoughts on Earth Day

A few weeks ago, before an appointment at the student health center, a noticed something odd from my car in the parking lot... "What the heck is on that tree?" I thought, mainly because I don't wear my glasses often enough. :-p Of course, I had to inspect.

Oh my...

A beautiful marriage...

...or an ugly incarceration?

There was no choice...

There is no undoing...

What kind of mark do you want to leave on our Earth?

Signs About Town

A while back, there were a few signs/things around town that caught my eye. Just wanted to share. :)
The sign reads: Seriously... y'all still litter? Time to change your ways.
I thought it was an effective billboard, and it's pretty rare to see local environmental awareness in the South. (I think this was by Keep Athens Beautiful)

There was a funny face on this campus lamppost!

Poor guy, missing one eye :(

And right by the lamppost, I just wanted to prove that fountains can freeze in the South :)

A local pest control company cleverly referencing this man of overnight American Idol fame (who also happens to be local, embarrassingly):

I have loved this sign outside of the local fire station for so long

So vintage!

Losing My Religion

Today was my last day of classes. Ever.

I've been a bit melancholy all day. (Okay, except for the lunch that involved wine and catching up and chatting and laughing with a good friend... :)

But I've been thinking about my school/academic career. From the first day of kindergarten when I wet my pants (true story- can you imagine the trauma? For me and my poor worried mom...) to today, the last moments of Children and the Law with one of the most demanding professors I've ever encountered.

Skipping onto the school bus, reading late into the night, practicing my violin, reciting presentations for my mom, writing countless papers, dreading my french oral exam, anticipating field trips...the great school system I began in, the award ceremonies that let me know I was doing a good job, the trips to Wal-Mart where I could pick out a "treat" for good grades (I almost always chose books)... I think of all of the things that made me who I am, who I have always been: The Good Student.

And now, with tears in my eyes, gratefulness and memories in my heart, it is time to close this chapter. It is time to finish these finals, get that J.D., and keep moving forward. To be a lawyer, a wife, a mom...

It is time.

My Favorite Things

Alright, looks like this is going to become a regular feature because I'm so greedy sharing. :) Probably not going to put it on a certain day, as that tends to not always work for me (see all posts with "BELATED" in the title!).

So, as my fancy has been struck, check out...

These adorable laptop skins:

Obviously made just for me, as I only drink chai lattes (as far as coffee drinks go) and I fell in love with Portland this past summer :)
Find it here!

Adorable! And yes, who doesn't like kittens? Freaks.
Find it here!

And yes, I have overwhelming BABY FEVER!, but I also have logic, which tells me that a negative checking account balance and wee ones do not mix (God, I wish everyone used my logic...) In any case, I can still plan! Love these growth charts:

And if you're still not reading Style Lush? Well, damn you and your self control!! :-p

Happy Bunday!

Poor Daisy had not photos taken of her this week, so once again I offer pictures of her space being invaded when the family was all together:

Latte loves to eat Daisy's hay and then barf it up. Super.

Even timid Gatsby got in on the usurpation!

Hope your Bunday was less barfy and naughty! ;)

Happy Caturday!

As you all know, Latte is clearly the Head of the Pretty Kitty Committee. Lately, she has continued to live up to her title... :)

Chillin' under the coffee table

Lookin' at bit gangly...

Look at her workin' the camera!

She has found a pile of blankets she loves

Really loves

Happy kitty :)

Pretty kitty :)

And finally...the picture that has earned her the nickname "Mommy's Little Stuffed Sausage"...

Hope your Caturday was a little less stuffed :)
